A natural setting for outdoor sports

At an altitude of 1424 metres, the Grand Ballon des Vosges dominates a region of delicately rounded shapes and thick pine forests. These unspoilt landscapes are carved by bucolic valleys and dotted with emerald lakes. The Route des Crêtes, a tightrope walk between the mountains of the Vosges and the vineyards of Alsace, offers superb panoramic views of the entire region. Gourmet hikers will appreciate the many farm inns along the way, providing an opportunity to sample local specialities and products.

The Vosges is a paradise for outdoor sports. Hundreds of kilometers of hiking and mountain-biking trails criss-cross the landscape, leading to lakes ideal for swimming and water sports. In every season, the Vosges captivates visitors with its changing colors. As winter and snow arrive, the slopes welcome skiers.

Gérardmer, La Bresse – Hohneck, la Schlucht or Xonrupt-Longemer are transformed into family-friendly winter sports resorts. In addition to the lakes and forests of the Vosges, Camping Verte Vallée invites you to discover the most beautiful sites in Alsace, such as Colmar and its half-timbered houses, the Haut Koenigsbourg castle towering above the vineyards and picturesque villages such as Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Eguisheim, Ribeauvillé, …
